Julia is an illustrator of Japanese (5th generation/gosei) and European descent who works primarily with digital art and has a background in watercolor and mixed media painting. She loves creating works with bright color palettes, textures, and fun characters. In her work, she explores the intersections between illustration, design, and typography. As an avid reader and biracial individual, she wants to take her experience into the realm of commercial illustration. Julia hopes to create diversity and representation in the book illustration industry, especially for young readers.
