Kala Tiana Patterson

Kala Patterson is a writer, artist, and illustrator creating out of Denver, Colorado. Born in Marion, North Carolina, she’s been drawing from the time she could pick up a pencil and is passionate about art and diversity. In her own career, she hopes to contribute to queer and multi-ethnic representation in art and the illustration industry. After graduating in May of 2026, she hopes to launch an illustration career in editorial illustration and/or concept art, while moonlighting as an indie comic developer, creating more installments of the web and print comic series launching as her thesis project, Makklis & Elli.
