L. Velasquez

Digital Animation

L. Velasquez was born in Caracas, Venezuela. After moving to Denver in 2017, L. used her exposure to different cultures to pursue a career in visual arts from an early age. She graduated Denver School of the Arts in 2022, then she got accepted as an undergraduate at CU Denver's Digital Animation Program. From her university student experience, she has learned a broad set of skills relating to the pipeline in the industry. L. is knowledgeable in programs such as Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, After Effects and Substance Painter.
She's passionate about the art of storytelling, and the conveying of emotion, especially through animation. L. Velasquez is very talented in illustration, which she uses toward the visual development step of the pipeline. This calling is motivating her into succeeding in the animation industry.
