Angel Blanco

Art Practices

Angel Blanco is a Denver, Colorado-based artist working in painting, drawing, and photography. Their work explores humanity as an invasive species and examines the impact of human activity on wildlife and the natural environment. As well as bringing focus to the distinct perceptual world of creatures, they consider the cycles of life and death, the transfer of energy, and the complex relationship between humans and the ecosystems that they inhabit. Angel is pending their B.F.A. at the University of Colorado Denver. They were the winner of the 2020 Eyes Colorado Youth Art Contest, and their work has been exhibited in The Mike Coffman Art Show of 2019, Guilty: 2023 CU Denver Student Exhibition, the Artistonish Contemporary Art Magazine Issue #53 in 2024, and the Emptiness 2025 Biafarin Online Exhibition.
