Michael Andrew Cullis

Art History

Native to Colorado, Michael has always found purpose in creativity and the arts. Gravitating towards animation and motion design work, he decided to pursue an education in those fields. After completing his Associates of Applied Science in design and animation at AIMS Community College in Greeley, Colorado, Michael decided to continue his studies at the University of Colorado, Denver. It was during his time there when he discovered his enthusiasm for art history. Graduating in May 2026 with a Bachelors of Art History, Michael’s thesis combines both his interest in art history and passion for animation, focusing on Contemporary Japanese Animation.
