Jonas Sanchez (b. 2003) is a Denver-based curator graduating from the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. He has long been drawn to the DIY ethos, a key element of his Marine St. Gallery project in Boulder, Colorado, where he curated exhibitions in collaboration with both international and local artists and curators. Jonas's curatorial approach focuses on experimental mediums and concepts, with an emphasis on reimagining the traditional gallery model through a DIY lens. He has served as curatorial assistant for the Denver-based Dateline gallery for over three years, where he curated I Don’t Believe in Anything or Anyone, and I Don’t Believe in You Either and Vis-á-Vis. Jonas has also served as Curatorial Intern and Research Assistant at the MCA Denver. After graduation, Jonas hopes to continue his curatorial practice and attend graduate school.
