Channing Xiang-Shen Han

Digital Animation

While born in Washington, Channing was raised in Colorado, where he discovered his passion for the creative arts and media. He has experimented with various mediums, including graphic design, traditional painting, drawing, motion design, and video editing. While he enjoys other mediums, animation has captivated him the most, as it challenges him to understand body mechanics, facial expressions, and believable weight. Throughout Channing’s college experience, he has volunteered twice at the LYNX National Arts and Media Camp as a LYNX Leader. This program introduces high school students to arts and media, including animation, music, and film. After graduating, Channing will take on the role of Graduate Student Coordinator for all camp sessions. With his keen attention to detail, he has learned to create and recognize essential animation principles such as spacing, timing, weight, and arcs.

During his time at the University of Colorado Denver, Channing has gained valuable life skills, including production supervision, time management, and conflict resolution. In addition to these skills, he has developed strong proficiency in programs such as Autodesk Maya, Nuke, the Adobe Suite, and Marvelous Designer. After graduation, Channing hopes to contribute to innovative animated projects that push the boundaries of the animation industry while continuing to refine his craft.
