Matt grew up among the lakes of Minnesota but was drawn west after falling in love with the Rocky Mountains. He has lived in Colorado, Arizona, and Washington, working in the Outdoor Education and Outdoor Recreation industries. Amid the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, he chose to return to school, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Design at the University of Colorado - Denver. A lifelong learner and avid outdoor enthusiast, Matt merges his passion for adventure sports and nature with a keen eye for design and visual storytelling. He is dedicated to using design to foster inclusivity and engagement in outdoor pursuits and outdoor recreation. When he's not designing, you can find him biking wide-open gravel roads, exploring the mountains with his wife and son, or catching one of his favorite bands in concert.
