Tessa Yungui McEvoy

Digital Design

Tessa is a Denver based designer and illustrator. Graduating from the University of Colorado Denver in 2025, her current work highlights her love for casino slot machines and children’s media especially faith-based VRC tapes. Tessa’s insights of how this media teaches digestible Bible lessons ties directly into her advocacy work. Her vibrant comic series, Scribbles the Autisic Mouse, aims to educate school-age children about autism and Apraxia of speech from a first-hand perspective. Besides writing, Tessa’s community-integrated design work with Clain Udy, founder of Autism Elevated, further reflects her desire to amplify her reality.

Tessa’s work extends beyond the visual arts into presenting at the yearly National Apraxia Kids conference. Her presentations center around her lived experiences as someone with a speech disability launching her career. She hopes to implement her work-practices into longterm advocacy efforts including FireFly Autism, Dirt Coffee Bar and The Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce.
