Painting and Drawing
David Younglove is a Fine artist from Boulder, Colorado currently pursuing a BFA in painting and drawing at the University of Colorado Denver. After studying physics at the University of Colorado Boulder, David spent a semester studying classical drawing in Viborg, Denmark under Russian artist Artem Alexeev. This teaching, as well as the work of old masters like Rubens was foundational in developing his figurative approach. Since then, his work has developed to incorporate the influence of expressionists like Schiele and Klimt. Drawing inspiration from Persian poetry, David's work seeks to address matters of life's mystery and the humanist struggle to find our place in that puzzle. His work has been featured as a part of two student exhibitions.
