Song Bao Tran

Song Tran was born in Hue, Vietnam. She immigrated to America when she was 6, finding her permanent home in Colorado the following year. Having shown an interest in art early on, Tran went on to graduate from Denver School of the Arts in 2019. She is currently enrolled in CU Denver’s College of Arts and Media with a degree emphasis in painting and drawing. Tran’s body of work consists predominantly of acrylic paintings alongside digital illustrative work. Being an Asian-American transgender woman, her art heavily features themes of gender, sexuality, and personal introspection. Her work has been displayed at numerous venues throughout her academic career including but not limited to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and History Colorado Center.
