Annabel Boggess was born in Hartford Connecticut and grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Boggess works digitally and paints her art is typically in an anime style. She uses cute imagery and colors to make her illustrations. Initial inspiration for her art comes from cartoons, and the uniqueness of character design. Boggess continues to invent her own characters. Boggess is set to complete her BFA with an emphasis in drawing and painting by May of 2023 at the University of Colorado Denver. Currently working on her BFA Thesis show, she is challenging ideas about objectification and the male gaze by incorporating both eastern and western feminist traditions.
