Angelina Martinez
Art Practices
Angelina Martinez was born in Denver, Colorado. She works predominantly in the mediums of charcoal drawings and photography, but also works with painting and digital drawing. Martinez is graduating from the University of Colorado, Denver with a BFA in Art Practices. She is of Mexican-American descent and explores her heritage in her art. Her current works combine both drawing and photography in a series called When I’m Not Around which exhibits objects found around Denver in addition to the artist's own personal belongings. The series shows the journey of these objects acquired throughout life, which ultimately are reflections of oneself. She has displayed work in an exhibition at Four Mile Historic Park and is working towards continuing with local galleries.
